Applications and References
This area provides information about relevant building which have adopted Low Fire-Hazard cables. The Application
Sheets are organized by families of buildings of high fire hazard because of the critical escape conditions.
The smart hierarchical organization allows visitors to browse through each family.

fs_hospital
Hospitals and old peoples homes
In these buildings the speed of evacuation is critical. Many of the people present will need assistance during an evacuation and some activities cannot be interrupted (e.g. surgical operations).
fs_museum
Museums and historical buildings
Many of those buildings date back several centuries and are not designed to enable a quick escape of people in case of fire; moreover they are often crowded. It is also desirable to protect the historical artefacts /exhibits in case of fire with reduced exposure to smoke and acidic gases.
fs_shopping
Shopping centres
These buildings are designed to hold large numbers of people who are not familiar with the building's fire alarms and escape routes, potentially causing delays during an evacuation.
fs_school
Schools and recreational buildings
These buildings are commonly crowded with young people who largely have little knowledge of fire precautions and fire alarms. Their delayed reactions in a fire could have huge consequences.
fs_metro
Metro and tunnels
These buildings are commonly quite crowded with people who are not familiar with the building's fire alarms and escape routes. The speed of evacuation is critical and the route to safe areas is commonly very long. These facts make Metro and Tunnels one of the highest risk environments during fire.
fs_airport
Railway stations and airports
These buildings are commonly quite crowded with people who are not familiar with the building's fire alarms and escape routes. Moreover many of the people speak a different language. These factors could cause confusion and delay in escape.
fs_disco
Discotheques and nightclubs
These buildings are commonly crowded with young people who largely have little knowledge of fire precautions and fire alarms. These environments are also very noisy and  this introduces a further disturbance  to a quick and safe escape.
fs_theatre
Theatres and cinemas
These buildings are commonly crowded with young people who largely have little knowledge of fire precautions and fire alarms. The show is catching the attention of people present delaying their reaction
fs_hotel
Hotels and offices
These buildings are commonly quite crowded of people who are not familiar with the building's fire alarms and escape routes. Hotels are more risky during night when the level of attention of occupants is, of course, very low.
fs_skyscraper
High-rise buildings
In these buildings the speed of evacuation is critical and the route to safe areas is commonly very long. Cables may be installed in vertical ducts that work like a chimney distributing smoke and gasses to each floor
